This is Alan Belton. He is African-American and 68 years old. In the 1960s he was one of the close companions of Martin Luther King jr, or ‘Martin King’ as Alan refers to him as. Alan lives in Seattle and is member of a church that has a big outreach in the Balkans. Last Sunday he spoke in my church here. In fact, not only did he talk, he also sang. He is pretty much a gospel choir in himself and I can’t even begin to imagine what it is like when the congregation is as vivid as himself! He is very energetic for his age and lives as he teaches. He has shown my friends that over years, and now I know him a bit too and can see for myself. On Sunday he was talking about how Paul writes that those who belong to Christ shall be recognized in that they love each other with a love that can only come from God. His sermon was a verbal firework! No wonder one gets inspired…
