There are many reasons to be happy in everyday life in Canterbury, and here are some of those reasons.
The city has many beautiful spots, like this one. It’s not spectacular but still pretty. A green triangle is lined with numerous beautiful gardens on one side and a pub on the opposite side of the street – and, of course, the traditional English telephone... This is one of the things that to me are typical English.
Canterbury’s not too far from the big city either. This is evening over the east-central parts of London last Saturday night when I was heading home. The picture was taken near Charing Cross Station and you can see St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Gherkin, Queen Elizabeth Hall and the National Film Theatre (in neon colours).
This is the Canterbury Cathedral, perspective from the school where my church is these days. It really appears monumental from this angle.
There are many side rivers and green oasises in this city, and here’s one of them. This place is between my house and the city centre.
