Near our cottage in northern Norway there is a river. It runs through a valley, and if you see the area from a distance it looks like a rather flat river in a valley between high mountains. However, if you actually walk along the river you will see that it is by no means only flat. There is also a beautiful waterfall, and there is even a canyon where the river has dug itself deep into the landscape. This summer there was rather little water in the river, and subsequently in the waterfalls, when we were there in the end of July. Nevertheless, it looks quite amazing. Under the waterfall to the left of the cliff where I and Jennifer are sitting in this picture there is a big hole filled with pure, cold mountain water. If we had brought swimwear we could have jumped off the cliff, into the water hole and then followed the river a few meter downwards until the water is more shallow and we could walk up on the shore. But we didn't bring any, so that will have to be for another summer. Then there will also - hopefully - be more water in the river and therefore look more dramatic too. Wanna join?
